The STM-D Series represents SignTronic’s fourth generation direct exposure system. It features the same premium steel construction and precision ZEISS optics as all SignTronic models, but differentiates itself with its extreme versatility. In addition to coming in a wide range of sizes, it can be loaded and unloaded from both sides and integrates seamlessly with Grünig IN-LINE components such as loading/unloading magazines and coaters. Such tight integration with automated Grünig IN-LINE components is unique to SignTronic equipment.

The STM-D Series offers two options for the UV light source: A conventional CPL 330W UV lamp, or SignTronic’s UV-LED DUO unit. While both options provide optimized UV exposure levels, the CPL 330W lamp emits a wider range of the UV spectrum, allowing for better performance with dual cure emulsions and a wider variety of meshes.

The optional Remote Image Control Board (RICB) provides a simple and efficient means of monitoring and maintaining a high quality exposure. Each time an STM-D Series unit is switched on, the RICB automatically measures the distance between the exposure head and the screen, as well as other important optical parameters, and makes any needed adjustments. This process can be repeated throughout extended runs to ensure consistent exposure. It can even compensate for bowed screens.
